2) Visit the City of the Dead... ok, that is what I call it. It is otherwise known as the Recoleta Cemetery. Evita is buried there.

3) Walk around the cobblestone streets of Palermo Soho. There is a cute section of the city called Palermo soho which contains a lot of boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. It is a great place to spend the afternoon walking around shopping and relaxing. Start at what the locals call "Plaza Serrano," which is actually called Plaza Cortázar. It is at the intersection of Honduras and Serrano Streets in Palermo Soho. This plaza is a little wild, but the little streets surrounding the plaza are adorable and have great shops.
4) Visit Puerto Madero. This is the newest and most exclusive area of Buenos Aires. Filled with high rises, luxury boutques and upscale restaurants it is a lovely place to spend the day walking around.

5) Walk down Florida Street. Stop and buy a leather bag or shoes at Prune. It is one of my favorite stores in Buenos. Florida street is VERY commercial but worth seeing while you are downtown, you should also go visit #6 Plaza de Mayo. Also, you should stop and have a coffee and treat at Cafe Tortoni located at 825 Plaza de Mayo.
6) Visit Plaza de Mayo. This is the main square in downtown Buenos Aires. It is where Evita addressed her adoring fans from the window of Casa Rosada.

7) Watch some live Tango and visit antique stores in the neighborhood of San Telmo (the oldest neighborhood in Buenos Aires). Go to the Plaza Dorrego!

8) Visit a Havanna Cafe and eat an alfajor. The most delicious Argentinian treat. MMMM.
9) Visit the Malba (the museum of modern art) and stroll around the Japanese botanical gardens.
10) Fly to Mendoza for an overnight stay. Go on a wine tour with Trout and Wine tours.

11) Take a boat ride on Le Tigre river. Actually, it is best to take this tour from San Isidro, which is where Luciano's family lives and where the wedding will be held. If you are staying in the city, the train ride north to San Isidro is only 50cents!
12) Visit La Boca which recieved its name from a famous tango song. Caminito, located at Avenida Pedro de Mendoza 1800, is an outside tango museum and art market that is full of color and activity.
